For some women, acne is an irregular occurrence, but for others, it is a daily battle. Occasionally, I develop large, painful blemishes on my jaw line or on my cheeks. One of the fastest ways to shrink a deep, painful spot is with drawing salve.
The black, gel-like ointment smells terrible — like a combination of paving asphalt and rotten eggs — but it heals pimples by pulling the oil and impurities from the skin. And the putrid smell is a small price to pay for quickly eliminating a large eyesore.Drawing salve can be found in the band-aid section of many pharmacies next to the antibacterial creams.
