Look what we made for our friend Lauren! I say we because I couldn’t have gotten all the way through this project without my crayon cutting master. After showing him how cool the end result would be, it was fairly easy to get The Beard on board to help me pull this little project together.
Lauren is a teacher and I thought this would be the perfect gift for her. Inspired and Informed on how-to we got to work. In total this project took us about 2-3 hours. Cutting the crayons was the most time consuming, but the smoother the cut the better it will look in the end.
I decided on a pattern instead of laying the crayons at random. What do you think?
I originally stumbled upon a photo of the idea on Pinterest.
I’m going to make one for our home this week, but I’m going to remove the crayon wrappers. Now I just have to figure out which colors to use.
This looks like a very useful website! TipJunkie
